At Airmiles World in Mind

We believe the work starts at home. That's why we've been working hard to reduce our footprint - and as part of The Mileage Company we've made the Carbon Trust Standard.

But we're not finished - that's just the first step.

Cutting our carbon

As part of The Mileage Company, we've made the Carbon Trust Standard by making big changes to the way our company works.

How we did it:

We made big changes in how we work
We followed a Carbon Management Energy Efficiency plan, produced with the Carbon Trust
We smashed our year on year targets

What we're doing

We've changed the way we work. And it was all simple stuff. Like speaking to each other by videophone rather than flying.

These little changes make a big difference - and we're on target to cut our business travel by 40%*.

*measured on the CO₂ emissions from duty travel, educational and incentive travel and pool car usage.

What our team are doing

Since the team here at Airmiles love to travel, they want to keep the world beautiful too.

What they've been up to:

Developed our 'Green Team' - they don't hide in a little office, they work all across Airmiles
Changed their travel, with our tax-free bikes
Took part in conservation work at a Sussex Wildlife Trust garden for schools and community groups

Charity starts at home

The Airmiles team love charity work. We give them each two days' paid leave a year to do it - that's 1,000 hours in total.

Money raised includes £80,000 in two years for Willow, who give special days to seriously ill adults. And the team has got involved in Robert Swan's 2041 Antarctica mission.
