Frequently asked questions

Do Airmiles last forever?

They can do. But it’s more fun to use them.

To keep your Airmiles account open, just keep collecting miles – that means having one Airmile (or more) added to your account every 24 months.

Obviously the more often you collect miles, the sooner you’ll get free travel rewards.

You can see how often you need to collect miles and all other details in our Terms and Conditions.

What if I don’t want to use my Airmiles yet?

If you’re not ready to use your miles or are saving them for a special trip, keep your account open by collecting one mile or more (and having it added to your account) every 24 months. That way your miles can stay in your Airmiles account until you’re ready.

I thought I was collecting Airmiles – why aren’t they showing on my account?

Perhaps you were collecting with one of our old partners? If so, they might not offer miles anymore. We have lots of partners – find out how to collect with them in Collect miles.

Or perhaps the miles you’ve collected recently haven’t reached your account yet. It can take up to 35 days for miles to reach your account depending on who you’re collecting with.

If your miles aren’t in your account after 35 days, please let us know.

Are there any fees?

Admin fees
There’s no admin fee if you’ve collected miles in the last 12 months (remember to leave 35 days for the miles to reach your Airmiles account before booking). You can check your transactions in My account.

But, if you haven’t added any miles to your account in the 12 months before booking, there’s a £30 admin fee when you use miles towards a booking.

Credit Card fees
We’ll cover the credit card fee when you pay with a Lloyds TSB Airmiles Credit Card account or Tesco MasterCard, all other credit cards will attract a 2.5% fee (a minimum charge of £2.00 applies). There is no credit card fee when you pay by debit card.

What if I’ve been collecting on my partner’s account?

You can set up a Household Account with anyone in your home – this lets you merge your accounts, pool your miles and collect miles together. Find out how in My account.
